There is a saying that there is no such thing as a perfect gift, but I would like to challenge that notion.
It is true that you can do something to improve the monetary value of the gifts you give to your loved ones, but it's much more important to improve the quality and lasting effects of your gifts if you want to make them better.
In the book Strong Growing, Charles Swindoll provides several examples of superior gifts that you could give out this new year that vastly outweigh the worth of expensive material items. Here are some of the better gifts he suggests:
Great Gifts to Give in the New Year
Mend a quarrel
Tell someone "I love you."
Give something away — anonymously
Forgive someone who has treated you wrong
Turn away wrath with a soft answer
Visit someone in a nursing home
Apologize if you are wrong
Be especially kind with someone with whom you work.
Give as God gave to you in Christ, without obligation, or announcement, or reservation, or hypocrisy.
These are wonderful gifts, but there is one uncommon, superior and perfect gift that I would want to offer you this new year. I have labelled this gift as a Cover-to-Cover Bible Reading Challenge.
This gift will not only help you read the Bible from cover to cover in one year, but it will also give you daily chapter-by-chapter explanations that will help you to understand what you are reading and to see how it applies to your life.
The passages for each day's Bible reading are given in both audio and text formats with God-centered, grace-saturated, Christ-exalting, and gospel-driven insights for each day’s scripture readings. Wouldn't you agree that this is a perfect gift for the New Year?
In contrast to many Christmas and New Year's gifts that are given only once, this Bible reading gift that we are offering you in 2023 is a gift that you will enjoy every day of the year and it will continue to give and bless your life throughout the year.
Will you accept this gift and join this Bible Reading Challenge by signing up below?

Cover2Cover Daily Bible Reading Schedule.
This Bible reading schedule comes in audio and text forms. This programme lets you read the Bible in a year (through the Old Testament once, and through the Psalms and the New Testament twice).
Daily Bible reading will be well worth and will far outweigh the time and effort you put in.
If we don’t read the Bible carefully, think about what it says, and follow its teachings, our lives and worship will be hurt.

“What is the food of the inner man? Not prayer, but the word of God; and . . . not the simple reading… but pondering over it and applying it in our lives”
— George Muller
D. L. Moody once said that, “The Bible was not written for our information, but for our transformation,” so we should apply it to our lives as we read it.
